“I am fascinated with experimenting and
searching for new and abstract ways to share expression through fine art and
art tapestry. I am more interested in
colour, form, and space than in creating realistic images. For the past 10 years, I have been
concentrating on creating woven pieces from recyclable materials such as fabric
and yarn from old clothes, plastic, foil, and so on. The fresh and impressionistic look I can
achieve with these unconventional materials is amazing; I can attain vibrant
colours from the t-shirts strips and dramatic effects from the woven
plastic. I would like to encourage and
inspire more artists to adopt something old to create something new, while
making a small contribution to protecting our exhausted environment.”
